Your Meeting Matchmaker Fairy Godmother

Fall TV

in: Fun

Fall is on its way, and tagging right along is the much anticipated fall TV schedule, at least this is the case for us Certified Couch Potatoes. I find myself asking this question, “Which shows are worthy of my precious couch time and DVR space?” Like everyone involved in meeting planning, I am one busy gal which is why my DVR space is so valuable. At the end of the day, when all is in order (mostly), I treat myself to some time on the couch (or sofa, for those of you that like the fancier term) to indulge in some well-written drama, or comedy, or what-have-you.

The show I am most looking forward to is NCIS, my absolute most favorite! With a line-up of good-looking folks in uniform, solving crimes of intrigue, you just can’t go wrong. I am also looking forward to NCIS New Orleans; it’s NCIS with Scott Bakula (be still my heart!), not to mention, beignets, in one hot, happenin’ town. Scandal is coming back for its fourth season, and I am ready to see if Olivia Pope is going to return to Washington! What do you think?

Some new shows that have piqued my interest are Scorpion, a bunch of geniuses who look super cool and seem to be uniquely equipped to prevent outlandish end of the world type consequences from occurring. Another interesting show has law students taking a class called How to Get Away with Murder and finding that they must apply what they learn in class time in real time. Now that sounds like one captivating course!

Shows that I have not watched, but would consider binge-watching are Homeland, Game of Thrones, and House of Cards. Would love to hear if any of you are fans. Please share with me some good reasons to check them out on Netflix.

Some of these new shows make me wonder. Hieroglyph for example is about Egypt, yet it seems that everyone in the show has a British accent? Selfie I am unclear as to whether or not I will like this show. I finally figured out how to take a “selfie” but not sure I want to watch a show entirely dedicated to that. Bad Judge, the jury is still out on this one. It could be really awful or it could be cute, feel-goody and fun. We shall see.

What I do know is that I am ready! I have packed my remote controls with fresh new batteries, I have pillows and blankets within easy reach, I have popcorn at the ready and since it’s getting colder, I am feeling the need to give the outdoor activities a rest and proceed to nest.

What shows are you ready to watch? Tell me on my-“self’s” Facebook page!

Honestly, I am still having Breaking Bad withdrawals since I finished that series up a few months ago on Netflix. That show is the best show I have ever seen. It is a “sit on the edge of the couch or sofa” kind of show! If you have never seen it, I highly recommend it!! I have tried watching a few others, but simply cannot get excited about anything else. I am, however, extremely interested in Bad Judge. She is a great actress and it looks like it could be a cute show. Hopefully it will finally fix my Breaking Bad withdrawal issues!
