A Small List of Big Ideas

in: Event Planning Advice

Here is a list of interesting ideas and random thoughts I have put together for you!

ideablogCarpooling: If some of your attendees are going to be driving to your event, offer a place for them to catch a ride! There are a number of carpooling sites where you can set it up. With the cost of gas prices nowadays, this is a great value add to provide and steer your attendees in the right direction.

Eventful: For some events it may make sense to add it to Eventful.  You will need to create an account to do so. Keep in mind that the more you spread your event throughout the internet the easier it will be for others to learn about and find.

Create an Event on Facebook: It is easy to do and is another great way to get the word out about your event. People can “RSVP” right there, but be sure to message them so that you can get their contact information if necessary.

Think Local: Wherever you are, make sure to serve local and give local. Serve local beer and wine at your night time events. If there is a company in the area known for their goodies, make them the star of the table. Perhaps set up some sort of collection for an area charity. Rely on the venue to help you get the most from the area where your event will be held.

Create a LinkedIn Group: A LinkedIn Group provides for a professional forum in which it engage your attendees before, during and after the event.

Memorable Entertainment: Caricature artist using paper – no. Caricature artist using iPad – yes. Slight of Hand Magician – no. Digital Magician – yes. You get the idea.

I would love to hear what fresh ideas you have seen lately! Please share it with me on my Facebook page!
