The allure of the All-Inclusive Resort is quite enticing. Think of the easy budget planning; all the sleeping rooms, meetings space, food, beverage, gratuities, fees and more conveniently rolled into one price. Since meeting planners always seem to be short on time, this option may be a fantastic and easy way to go; especially for those last minute meetings!
All-Inclusive resorts exist in Mexico, Dominican Republic and several other areas of the earth. Believe it or not, only one such resort exists in the good ole USA; Club Med’s Sandpiper Bay in Florida, located between Miami and Orlando on the Atlantic Coast. The resort states that they provide “the perfect balance of work and play.” They have function space that can accommodate up to 552 people; boasting over 14,000 square feet of meeting space.
The resort has a Club Med Tennis Camp and 18-hole championship golf course with professionally-certified instructors. There are several swimming pools on site, including a main swimming pool, quiet pool and hot tub, and a swimming pool for the more serious trainers. Club Med’s Sandpiper Bay can recommend and tailor team building activities for your group. And after all those activities, The Wellness Center has facials, massages, and body care on the menu. Speaking of menu, several dining options are available, including cuisine from around the world; quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included with the plans. If you need the whole resort for your group only, a buy-out option is also available!
A big plus is that you will be assigned a Dedicated Group Coordinator to help you both plan your meeting and see it through to the end. Since all the activities can take place on site, there will be no need to plan for additional transportation, transfers to and from the airport are easily coordinated with the resort. However, if you wish to provide an off-site activity, the resort will help you to plan excursions to nearby Disney World, Universal Studios and Kennedy Space Center.
