Good day to all you dynamic meeting planners out there. Today let’s put a bit of mo’ in your Dy-na-mo! Every day there are mo’ technical tools at your disposal – almost too many to know and digest. No worries, I did so for you – check out these tools and mo’!
Mo’ Time: Making the most of time will allow for even more time. The lesson here is the Pomodoro Technique to increase efficiency. All that’s needed is a bit of commitment and a timer. Here’s how it works:
- Decide on the task to be done.
- Set the timer for 25 minutes.
- Work on the task until the timer rings.
- Put a checkmark on a piece of paper.
- If there are less than four checkmarks, take a 3 – 5 minute break (3–5 minutes), then go back to step 2.
- Once there are four checkmarks, take a longer 15 – 30 minute break,
- Start over at step 1.
Mo’ Management: Project Management is a wonderful way to get your team organized, track assignments and stay on task. Mo’ Collaboration: The days of the whole team being in the same place at the same time are over. Now teams work from various locations and time zones. For this there is Slack. Slack ensures that teams are in contact with each other at all times, and it cuts down on navigating long email streams!
Mo’ Training: Sharing the amazing and amassed knowledge of your team can take up a lot of time, each time it needs to be taught. Get Guru, which provides the “knowledge your team needs to do its job, everywhere it’s done,” and allows you to “move faster and more confidently, together.”
Mo’ Log In: Every platform requires a password, and then every platform will at some point require the password be changed, and then there are passwords that are very specific to alpha-numeric and symbols required to create them.
