Summer It: Bring Summer to Your Next Event

in: Attendee Experience

It is summer and are you ready for your summer events? Make sure to Summer It with these hot ideas!

Color It: Think bright yellows, pinks, greens and blues. Incorporate these colors into your décor, invitations, digital media visuals and more.

Theme It: Luaus are still a hit. Think flamingos, pineapples, alohas and donuts. Pool party themes are fun with inflatables, kitchsy summer serving pieces and bright paper umbrellas. Other summer favorite themes are BBQ, an All White Party (guests wear white, all white décor, flowers, etc), Christmas in July or a Mexican Fiesta.

Table It: Summer flowers include Zinnias, Gerber Daisies, Cosmos, Peonies, Dahlias, Poppies and Hydrangeas. Citrus accents are another lovely summertime addition. Or check out these beach inspired ideas.

Sip It: For the best drinks, check out the Tipsy Bartender! His fun and wacky drinks include ideas like Margarita Jiggler and Vodka Watermelon Cooler. The Domestic Geek also shares some lovely easy-to-mix cocktails custom made for summer. Pottery Barn shares a Citrus Punch, Peach Cocktails and a Negroni Punch. For a daytime treat try fruit infused water or an interesting summer iced tea.

Eat It: Summer food ideas for your event are BBQs complete with grilled veggies, think ice creams in flavors like tart pink-lemonade and creamy rosewater, salad skewers, s’more pops or hot dogs with interesting toppings. Of course, there are tons of ideas on Pinterest.

Picture It: Consider a beach background with oversized sunglasses, leis, floppy hats and umbrellas for your guests. An under the sea scene with mermaids and sea life can be fun, give your guests bubbles for picture fun! Or rent a surfing wave. Remember to ask guests to post their pics to social media with your event hashtag.

Swag It: And don’t forget the swag! Include your company logo on beach towels, sunglasses, summer totes, gold ink tattoos, travel pouches, and sunscreen.

Enjoy your summer meeting planning planners!
